In the article" Do we have courage to stop this?" by Nicholas d. Kristof, he argues the idea about regulating guns. The predominant reason kids are dying in massacres like the most recent one is not that they have lunatics or criminals- all countries have them- but we suffer from a political failure to regulate guns. The United States isn't going to ban guns , but they can take steps to reduce carnage.
There are better regulation for ladders , even toy guns require orange tips, but the law makers don't have courage to stand up to National rifle Association and regulate guns carefully. It wouldn't be easy to eliminate gun deaths, but reducing gun deaths by one- third, can save 1,000 lives annually.
More Americans die in gun homicide and suicides in six months that have died in last 25 years in terrorist attack and the wars in Afganistan and Iraq combined. A starting point would be to limit guns to one a month. Make serial numbers more difficult to erase would help also. The murder rate in Australia, after passing the national fire arms agreement dropped by 40% and the suicide rate has drop by more then half. Treating guns seriously can save the life of many.
In States you have to be 18-21 to purchase a gun, but 21 to drink. Which is more dangerous? Even though guns can protect they can harm more. If they fall into the wrong hands they can do horrible things. People with cleans records kill also.
Are people taking this serious ? How may massacres do we need to have to regulate guns carefully? I know this isn't easy but we need a starting point and a ending point.

Marijuana
In the article " marijuana law just creates criminal" by Hakkem Jefferies, Cnn approach the topic about more than 5,ooo people in 2011 were arrested in New York city for possessing small amounts of marijuana. Majority of whom were African americans and Latinos. New York City spends $75 millon every year arresting people for marijuana possession.
The state decriminalized this offense more then 30 years ago.Private prossession of less then 25 grams of marijuana, a voliation punishableby $100 fine. With more then 400,000 arrest for small quanties of marijuana skyrocketed.
Often the police approach young people- majority of those who live in communities of color- stop them and frisk under the 'stop and frisk' poilicy. Thousands of prople are arrested, charged with a misdemanor, punshiable upto three months and jail. A fine of $300 fine.
This is fundamentally unfair. May view as a classic entrapment. Majority happens in neighborhoods were 55% of the people are black and latino. Yet the study constistently show that younger and fluent whites use marijuana in equal if not greater numbers.
Alot of people smoke marijauna and possess small amounts. So that means wasting countleess money on over half of america. Even ploiticians and police man did it when they were young so why not arrest them too. They are spending all this money on little amonuts of people when they are over stuffing jails with petty drug dealers. There are people out there killing, sexual saidts, rapists, and etc.

In the article " From Horror to Hope: Boy's miracle recovery froma brutal attack " by Saeefour Ahmed wrote a story about a little boy - who name is witheld- survives a brutal attack.
In Bangledesh, four men had surrounded the 7-year-old boy, bound his hands and feet and cracked open his head with a brick. They held him down and took a switchblade to his throat. They sliced his chest and belly in an upside down cross.
And in a final brutal act, they hacked him sideways, chopping off his penis and his right testicle. "It's amazing that he lived," a doctor said after working on this 7 year old boy. "I'm really surprised he didn't bleed to death prior to getting to the hospital."
Okkhoy says he set off for home when a group of neighborhood men grabbed him and pulled him into an alley."They tied me up and told me they'd force me to beg," he says. "I told them, 'I know each and every one of you. And I'm going to tell my father.'"
Okkhoy's case would have gone unnoticed were it not for his father's chance meeting with a human rights lawyer, Alena Khan.
When Abed went to the police to report the attack, he was told a case was already in the books.Someone who identified himself as the boy's uncle had told police that Okkhoy was assaulted by two boys in a playground spat that turned ugly
."Two little boys are capable of such brutality? And you believe that?" the incredulous father asked.
"Yes, now let us do our job," he was told and dismissed.

That's when one of the men grabbed a brick and struck him across the head, he says.
The attackers left Okkhoy by the side of a warehouse, intending to come back later and dump him in the river.

This is horrible. When we think our country is bad others
countries are doing far worst.
Why aren’t the cops taking it seriously and not doing a back
ground check on the so called uncle. what would it take to make this more
serious. Children are getting the bad end of the stick.

Teens shouldnt be permitted to drive until they are older but it also boils down to responsibily.Teens need more experience then justb on test and on test drive. They need more rivision on the road .
Evry teen is trying to drive to feel more older and with the new technology it becomes harder for them to focus.

What took Authorities so long to discover this? How long has
it been going on? Was it in investigation or suspicion? Will they get the time
in jail people expect or a bargain?

Will Climate change Get Some RespectNow ?
In the article Will Climate Change Get Some Respect Now ,
President Obama and Mitt Romney in this
seemed determined not to discuss climate change in this change campaign . But
many scientists beleieve that rising carbon emissions could make extrememe weather
- like Sandy - more likely . Isnt it time to talk not only about weather , but
also climate .
Demorats have been
ansent , change Republicans have even more stubborn .This is odd because areas
of national security Repulicans pride themsleves on their preparedness . Computers
models suggest that hurricanes won`t necessarily become more frequent , but
they may become stronger .
How do we prepare for the nexy hurricane ? Why is the President And Govenor acting ignorant to this ?

Every Parent does want their kid to succeed but giving pills
that can severe hurt them will not be a right solution . Children every day in my class use lack of focus , I am one but taking a pill may harm me for life .
The doctors that think it`s right to give students pills for lack of focus is wrong . They are only worried about the short term effect not the long term effect . Lots of kids have trouble in school. There are other alternatives , like school counseling or trying to get teachers more involed

Chineese Invasion in Tech world .
In the Wall street Journal , It was said that Chinese telecommunications giant that has been attempting to expand in the U.S. poses a national-security threat . This pose as a threat U .S becauase their equiment could be used to spy on America . American military and intelligence officials have long been warning privately that China poses a threat to U.S. defense systems and companies.
The two Chineese firms said that they would never let the chineese government use equipment for surveillance, saying it wouldn’t be in their business interests to do so .“ZTE equipment is safe.” said David Dai Shu, the company’s director of global public affairs . ZTE says that their publicly traded company has ensured that it is transparent
The Chineese has more advance eqiutment then the U . S and if they really wanted to they could of access america`s system . We get majority of our technology from China , so we really have little to no chance of stopping them .
I have read that 76% of American things are deported from other countries . America has been in wars with almost half of the countries aroung the world. Chinees probably wants something america has .
What does Chinnese want ? It is that important that they have to sleal it ? Is what they want harmful to people ? What length will China go through to get what they are looking for ? Will it go as far as another war between countries?

Unlimted texting Effecting Teenagers ?
The article " Texting May Be Taking A Toll " by Katie Hafner indicates that unlimited texting in companies such as At&T Mobility and Version Wireless have a great effect on adolescents.
Physicians and psychologists say its leading to anxiety , distraction in school , falling grades , repetitive injuries , and sleep deprivation.
American teenagers send and receive an average of 2,272 text messages per month and almost 80 messages a day . " That`s one every few minutes " said Dr . Martin Joffee , a pediatrician in Greenbae , California . " Then you hear that theses kids are responding to texts late at night . That's going to cause sleep issues in a age group that's already plagued with sleep issues . "
Sherry Turkle , a psychologists who has studied texting among teenagers in Boston in three years said " If your being flooded by constant communication , the pressure to answer immediately is quite high " , and she added " if something is vibrating next to you every couple of minutes it makes it hard to be in a state of mind . "
I don't have a phone but my friends text 24/7 . This distracts them from any kind of thought or responsibility.
This article could have supported with more facts to show the world the real consequences from texting other then the regular such as grades and sleep . I realize that parents are also apart of this texting effects on teenagers because they need to set boundaries . Everything always starts at your house.
I think that teenagers with phones should have more stricter phone access . Parents should take time off to get kids involved with doing chores , homework and bedtime . This will help teenagers with responsibility , grades and teenagers who do not text a night will feel better in the morning .

Students Cheating High Achievers No Eception ?
Richard Perez researched that a large amount of students are cheating more each year. Even some of the nations most competitive school such as Stuyvesant Highschool and Harvard have reports of cheating. The cheaters are not just the low-achievers but the high achievers as well .
" I dont think there`s any question students have become more competitve under pressure , as a result students tend to excuse more from themselves " said Donald L. Mc.cabe, a studetn Proffesor and lead reasearcher on student cheating.
Studies show that the internet plays a big part in studewnts cheating. It has made cheating easier and the internet is acessable. Proffesers say that when they assign an assightment students are most likely to go online and copy the work of other`s.
The article doesnt just blame the students , it blames the school, teachers and parents for not setting the line striaaght about cheating.
I think that students do cheat alot and no matter if you are a straight A student or a striaght F student they have one thing on there mind and that is to secced no mater what. Parents do put alot of pressure on there children to secced. Schools do that as well. some People think A little cheating will not hurt as long as you dont get caught .
This atricle shows that society tellls people you have to succeed no matter the conseques nor the after math . Does it really matter if students cheast ? Is america really protraying succeeding at any cost ?
